How to install the aluminum-plastic plate - what are the precautions for the installation of the aluminum-plastic plate? The aluminum-plastic plate can be connected by using the connection methods commonly used in metal and plastic processing. The following describes several common connection methods.
(1) Rivet connection
Aluminum plastic plates can be connected between plates or between plates and other materials with rivets suitable for aluminum materials. For outdoor or high humidity applications, stainless steel core pop rivets should be used to avoid corrosion affecting the surface of aluminum-plastic plate. If iron core rivets are used, the iron core must be pulled out after riveting connection. Countersunk rivets can only be used for indoor applications.
(2) Threaded fastener
It is divided into external use and indoor use
a. Outdoor fixings
When threaded fasteners are used outdoors, the thermal expansion coefficient of the aluminum-plastic plate needs to be considered. In order to avoid the extrusion deformation of the aluminum-plastic plate due to thermal deformation, the opening on the aluminum-plastic plate needs to be larger than the diameter of the screw to meet the requirements of expansion and expansion.
The use of stainless steel screw pattern with sealing washer can avoid the extrusion deformation of aluminum-plastic plate. The function of this product has been verified. To select a screw suitable for the structural material, tighten the screw with a torque wrench or screwdriver to ensure that the washer effectively seals the opening but will not be too tight to leave traces on the surface of the aluminum plate.
Sometimes it is necessary to use deformation drill or casing to drill holes on aluminum plate or substructure to achieve centering drilling and rivet construction. It should be noted that ensure that the protective film is removed before fixing the screws.
b. Indoor fixings
The connection of indoor applications can use steel plates or boards with different head shapes, and the fixing screws can be used. These screws usually do not allow thermal expansion displacement of aluminum-plastic plate.
Countersunk screws can be used to fix the aluminum-plastic plate. The usual countersunk hole method can be used or the aluminum panel can be directly pressed into the plate. When doing this, the hole on the aluminum plate should be larger than the diameter of the screw rod.
(3) Plastic welding (only for PE core)
The welding between plastics with hot air can be applied to the connection between aluminum and plastic plates. The aluminum plate is melted with heated air with electric heating welding gun, and the polyethylene core layer and polyethylene plastic electrode are connected after cooling. The following are the conditions for obtaining good welding quality:
a. Well prepared board edge interface;
b. Clean hot air;
c. Correct welding temperature;
d. Correct contact pressure;
e. Welding speed.
(4) Bond
Metal adhesive / general adhesive shall be used for bonding. Used for indoor advertising board and booth layout. Common metals or common adhesives are suitable for bonding on composite plates. Double sided tape is suitable for connection with low strength requirements. For occasions requiring high-strength bonding, we recommend the use of one-component adhesive, sika-bond. It should be noted that when used outdoors, the adhesive has a general ability to withstand static strength.
When the aluminum-plastic plate is bonded with other materials, the bonding failure may be caused by the different coefficient of thermal expansion of the materials.
(5) Connector connection
Generally, the combined fixture can also be used to fix and connect the aluminum-plastic plate. The fixture can be made of aluminum or plastic materials, which is generally composed of two parts and connected by screws.
