The difference between Raw materials and Finished materials in ACM/Aluminum Composite Panels

Everyone often says that ACM/Aluminum Composite Panels are divided into raw materials and finished materials, but in fact, there are more than just these two types. Let me briefly explain the types of core materials used in ACM/Aluminum Composite Panels in this issue.

Firstly, let's talk about the most common and widely used raw material on the market. This type of ACM/Aluminum Composite Panels is black in color, has a certain degree of flexibility, and can be grooved and bent. If there are no special requirements, this type of ACM/Aluminum Composite Panels can be suitable for most applications.

The second type is the finished material. ACM/Aluminum Composite Panels made from finished materials can be bent 180 degrees without breaking, demonstrating excellent flexibility. They have a longer service life and better weather resistance, but of course, they are much more expensive. This type of panel is often used for curved shapes, extensive decorative surfaces, and places with large temperature differences.

The third type is the white core panel. The plastic in the core of this type of panel contains fewer impurities, resulting in a surface without obvious graininess. It is highly favored by high-end customers and is commonly used in high-end wood grain and stone grain finishes, as well as some customized panels.

The last type is the flame-retardant ACM/Aluminum Composite Panels. The core material of flame-retardant aluminum-plastic panels is usually also white. Flame-retardant aluminum-plastic panels are divided into A2 grade and B1 grade flame-retardant types. These panels are commonly used in building exteriors, or in places such as shopping malls, hospitals, and indoor areas with strict fire and flame-retardant requirements.

These are the rough classifications of ACM/Aluminum Composite Panels core materials, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Different manufacturers' plastic raw materials, formulations, and processes may vary, resulting in different prices for the final panels. Therefore, it is important to have a good understanding when making a purchase decision.
