Nowadays aluminum composite panel are widely used in different constrution fields. Today I'm going to talk about how aluminum composite panel to be better folded.
First of all, we all know that the thicker aluminum skin, the easier the folding. Firstly we use the slotting machine to open a groove. Then we adjust the depth of the groove according to the thickness of aluminum composite panel board. Thirdly We adjust the cutter head until it is not exposed too much. Cause it'd be easy to scratch the aluminum skin and cause them to break. It’s easy to crack on the opposite.
There are 2 different cutter heads, which are U-shaped and V-shaped. The aluminum skin won't be easy to be scratch by U-shaped cutter head, but cause the angle not straight enough. On the other hand, the V-shaped cutter head is sharp enough to make the angle straight. On the bad side, it is easy to scratch the aluminum skin and cause the aluminum skin to crack. Generally, the 6# cutter head is the best choice to fold 4mm aluminum composite panel board.
The thickness of aluminum composite panel cladding is another condition considered when folding the ACP. Most people misunderstand that only plastic glue can be folded and raw glue can be folded. In fact, it is not true. Folding the aluminum composite panel cladding is to remove the intermediate PE core , which depends on the thickness of the aluminum skin. Normally, the ACP up from 6 mm can be folded as 90-degree angles. If the bending machine comes with the back side on top, both plastic glue and raw glue required. On the opposite, only plastic glue required, raw glue is not available.
